Snap&Learn isn't a calculator and it isn't a textbook. It's the moment-of-frustration tool that turns a stuck learner back into a working one.
Where it helps
- You're stuck on a past paper question and the memo's working doesn't make sense
- You want a second explanation in plain language
- You're studying alone and your tutor isn't available
Where it doesn't replace anything
You still have to write past papers. You still have to mark honestly. Snap&Learn is the explanation layer on top of the work — not a substitute for it.
What a solution includes
- The problem type and the method used.
- Every step, each with a short reason.
- The memo marks each step is likely to earn (M, A, CA).
- The final answer, a quick check and a common mistake to avoid.
- A similar practice question to try next.
What it costs
Your first three AI solutions are free. Premium is R9.99 a month for unlimited questions, and a parent can pay through a WhatsApp link. Schools and sponsors can give learners free access with a licence code.
A typical session
Say you are working through a past Paper 1 and get stuck on the inverse of an exponential function. You snap the question, read the first step, and try to finish it yourself. If you are still stuck, you read the next step. When you are done, you try the similar practice question at the end without help. If you can do that one, the method is yours.
Built for the NSC exam
Solutions use CAPS methods and NSC notation, such as k ∈ ℤ in trigonometric general solutions. Each step shows the mark it is likely to earn, so you learn how the memo rewards working, not only how to reach the answer.
Free study resources
Alongside the solver, the site has free topic guides, formula sheets and an index of DBE past papers with memos, so you can keep practising without paying anything.
What it is not
- It does not replace writing past papers under timed conditions.
- It must never be used in a test or exam.
- It can occasionally misread a blurry photo, so check that the question was read correctly.
How to use it well
- Attempt the question yourself first
- Snap only the part you got stuck on
- Re-attempt the full question without the explanation the next day
