A CAPS maths app for Grade 10 and 11: functions, trig, exponents and more, solved step by step with the marks each step earns. Start free.
Grade 10 and 11 decide how ready you are for Matric. Functions, trigonometry, exponents and analytical geometry all start here. Snap&Learn solves your question step by step at FET level and shows the memo marks each step would likely earn, so you learn what a marker looks for.

Answer: Free to start.
What does the marks badge mean?
M is a method mark and A an accuracy mark
CA is consistent accuracy: you keep marks after an earlier slip if you use your answer correctly
Seeing them shows which lines you must write in a test
Answer: It shows where marks are earned.
Example: solve x² − 4x − 5 = 0
Factorise: (x − 5)(x + 1) = 0
Set each factor to zero
Answer: x = 5 or x = −1
Example: find the gradient of the line through (1; 2) and (4; 11)
m = (y₂ − y₁)/(x₂ − x₁)
m = (11 − 2)/(4 − 1) = 9/3
Answer: m = 3
Example: if sin θ = 3/5 and θ is acute, find cos θ
Use sin²θ + cos²θ = 1
cos²θ = 1 − 9/25 = 16/25
θ is acute, so cos θ is positive
Answer: cos θ = 4/5
How does it help with tests?
Practise past questions under time
Snap the ones you got wrong and compare your method
Redo them the next day without help
Answer: Find and fix the steps you lose marks on.
Tips
Master functions in Grade 10: they return in every Matric paper.
Learn the trig identities by using them, not by copying them out.
Snap&Learn gives South African Matric learners instant, CAPS-aligned, step-by-step Mathematics solutions. Snap or upload a question and the AI shows every method mark the way the NSC memo awards them. Your first three AI solutions are free.
